So...this morning, ~6-something-almost 7 am, I am laying in bed 1/2 asleep, but conscious enough to hear the rooster crowing. Then...a weird sound. It sounds like a chicken dying.
I jump out of bed, go running outside and all seems well.
I hear it again...
Could it be the 6-week-old baby already starting to crow? He still does baby chirps though.
Then, I see it....
One of my older hens (2.5 yrs old) was walking around near the bedroom window....CROWING!
It is the MOST awful sound!
She was content crowing though. Just wandering around, pecking at bugs and crowing everytime the roo did.
I hear it again...
