Can I see a pic of your hen for comparison?
My hens are not silkies, I ended up with all roosters... I have young bearded silkies, and I believe Angel is a female... but at 12 weeks I am still not sure...

Thanks! Would you be able to guess the age of mine? I know its older than eight weeks but am not completely sure of its exact age.

I would guess over 15 weeks, because mine did not start showing that blue on their faces until they were close to crowing. That is just a guess on my part however, because I am by no means a silkie expert. I can only guess based on my experiences.

Thanks. Were your silkies bantams?.

where did you get your silkies? If mine is a roo I will want to get another silkie but I don't know were. Where did you get yours? I'd be looking for a started pullet.

I live in Southern Cali. There are a few breeders out here... if you look at Amber Waves Bantam silkies, they do blood tests to ensure that you get a female. However, the sexed ones are a bit pricey, but worth it just so you can be sure.
