Well we have the common Virginia opossums. My favorite opossum type is a mouse opossum, they look so cute. I’ve never seen one irl though.

Being an animal lover by nature, I don't know that I could pick just one "best" animal! Tigers are beautiful, dolphins are incredibly intelligent, koalas are super adorable, sloths are weird and cute by default, horses are healing to be around, chickens make me breakfast, dogs are the best buddies, I could go on. Lol

Mouse opossums are probably one of the only small mammals I really want. I like larger animals.
