what is the best breed of bantam and the easiest to handle and calm? Thanks... feel free to post pics of your bantams i wanna see the different breed

Oh, you are about to get a lot of answers to this one Even though some breeds are described as friendly and calm each chicky has its own personality. Although I wasn't particularly interested in bantams my kids would always point out silkies as a breed they wanted. Chicks hatched at home (not hatchery) will almost always be more friendly but when I 'accidently' found silkies on sale at TSC the kids got what they wanted. Definitely the most lapdog-like bantams! Hop up on our laps, sit on our shoulders, take treats almost daintily and never shy away. Any color Silkies- the answer to your question is silkies!

I am new to chickens, but have two bantams. One is an Old English and the other is a cochin bantam. Both are very friendly (I think my cochin may actually be a boy...he isn't quite as nice as the OE, who is a total doll baby!) Granted, they are both still only 4-5 weeks old.
