Our Jersey Black Giant goes broody every 6 months. Out of the rest of our flock, our White Wyandotte and Gold Penciled Hamburg are seriously broody now for the first time and they are both over 2 years old.

We have some Cochin chicks we purchased from a friend. She has 18 Cochin hens broody this week!

One of our other friends uses Silkie hens as mama hens for all her birds.

thank you all for quick respond so do you think that any of my hens has a chance of sitting in future?

Our Jersey Black Giant started laying at 5 months and went broody at 6 months. She is our best hen for broody - 6 months, 8 months, 1 year, 1 1/2 year, 2 years of age.

A frizzle what?

Game chicken's stay broody almost year around and they will sit on anything. I have many breed's and I have customer's looking for my game hen's just for setting. I have customer's looking for game roo's for other reason's {fighting} shame on them. I don't sell to them and that customer usually leaves my property with there feeling hurt from my tongue lashing. I love speaking my mind on an issue I feel strongly about. That would be like fighting one of my three pitt bull's. Just wrong!!!!!
