What is the best type of cover for a run with trees?

What is hawk proof? I've lost two full grown hens in the past week - Grrr. I have a big rooster, who lost half of his wattle, trying to protect them but this is one "ginormous" hawk. I had a light weight netting up, but it degraded over time and I pulled it out this spring - sigh big mistake. So, what do you use, and what would you recommend? Thanks

After years of losses, we finally invested in a real predator proof coop and run. We have a 10 x 20 welded wire dog kennel 6 feet tall. On top, we have chain link dog kennel panels, also 6 feet tall, which form a peaked roof over the welded wire panels. On the ends, I have 2 custom 3 ' by 10' chain link gates. The coop is inside the run.
We fooled with chicken wire, hardware cloth, you name it. This set up works.
