What is the best type of feeder?

I have been feeding my chickens laying mash wet. I was wondering what is the best feeder for this to keep them from wasting so much feed? They scratch it out on the floor of the coop and half of it goes wasted.

This is the best DIY feeder in my estimation I ran across. That being said it would work better with dry laying mash.

Theres probably a lot if DIY projects out there. I went with a couple of these as they're supposed to help with pests and you dont have to load them as often. They also have smaller ones.
