what is the best way to cook 5 m old rooster?

I hope this is appropriate forum for this question.
I got a 5 m. old rooster which I would to turn into a dinner. What do you think is the best way to prepare it?
 
I agree with Prissy about stewing low and slow. Then add dumplings, simmer until dumplings are tender, and brace yourself for some fine dining.

I made a stew from legs and breasts and broth from back and wings. Fine dinning indeed.
I have ordered dual purpose roos along with cornish crosses. I am glad I did it.
 
The French insist there is no better bird for Coq Au Vin than a rooster. Ooo la la!

Get a smoker, inject some marinade, start it late morning, and by dinner............I need to pull the smoker out of the garage and get it going!!!!
