What is the best way to dust a chicken

How do you hold the chicken when you dust it. Do you rub the dust in? I'm talking about bug killer dust.

I've heard of people putting the body in a plastic bag and puffing it around. I don't know how that would work with sharp claws though the bag. I just turn them upside down and sprinkle. Of course I have to shower when I'm done since it goes everywhere.

Some people use a powder puff thing and with a mask on your face - lift up wings and stuff and fluff away. It may be awkward, but it works. Then like Silkie, take a shower.

With a "feather duster" of course!!!

Actually, I hold mine upside down, and they hold thier wings out...then POOF! Dusted!

well at are local fair, we hold them upside down and dust them that way, works great.

I'm just being silly. Got some new wine today and had more than a glass or two. Hey it's good wine. I think.

i dust my layin boxes. then i put the dust in the holes in the runn where the chickens roll and dust. that way its not so bad for me or them.
