I will be shipping duck and chicken eggs for the first time. I know eggs have to breath. What is the best way to ship? and how many days is OK? Is priority ok? or next day?
thanks

I have shipped 1000's of eggs the last 20 years. Most have arrived in very good shape. I use a paper egg carton . The doz. size. I put about 6 eggs in and fill tight with sawdust. You can't be to tight. Then ducktape it shut. Put in box that isn't to big. I like the mediam size priority flat rate box. The tighter the egg carton fits in the box the better. The object is that the eggs don't bonuce arround.I have shipped up to 2 doz. in a box.

Hi! Several methods in this thread:
...Post on how you ship your eggs.
And another:
Greenfamilyfarm's Method to Shipping Eggs
The eggs don't actually need to 'breathe' until they begin to develop.
Good luck!
