What is the breed?

Any guesses at this guy's breed? He's about 4 to 5 months old! Thanks

a black australorp. i am pretty sure.

The original owners said jersey giant. That's what we were hoping he was.

He looks like my Australorp hens but I've never had Jersey Giant and he looks pretty big so he could be either.

You can tell by the bottoms of the feet, Jersey Giants have yellow on the bottom of their feet whereas Australorps should be pinkish white.

You can Google or search on here black australorp vs jersey giant and you should find loads of BYC threads and other sites (if Googled). I'll post the ones I found.

Some have a lot of posts others not many. You could either look through and try to determine it yourself or you could even perhaps post the pics in one of those or the specific breed threads. I know there is a breed spotlight thread on Black Austorlorps. Might help. Good luck
