What is the breed?

Good morning! This morning one of my chicks hatched from an Easter Egger hens egg. The mom is an Easter Egger hen and the dad was a black sex link (barred rock and Rhode Island Red mix). Does that mean the breed is an Easter egger or a mut lol? Thanks for any input!

Well, Easter Eggers are not technically a "breed". They are actually a combination of several different breeds of chicken. Normally, Easter Eggers are Americauna or Auricana checkens combined with some other type. So, your chick would be an absolute mutt, especially since the roo is a whole mix of breeds too. Would be interesting to see what it grows up to look like!
