Can't understand why they all look different

Mixed-breed chickens can easily look very different from each other, even when they are related. There are many different genes that affect the color of each chicken, so the hen and rooster can pass a slightly different mix of genes to each chick--and even a difference of one or two genes can sometimes make a big difference in appearance.

His color is very likely birchen, the father.
After looking up many breeds, I think you just have many mixes!

Looks like he might have a rose comb, my guess is he’s a game bantam, I think most of yours are a mix of game bantam's as well. Handsome, regardless!
