Hi Everyone,
Thanks so much for trying to help. This chick has a deformed beak (obviously). She is also not gaining much weight and is terribly friendly. She flies at me as soon as I open the door and wants me to carry her around all day. Underneath her deformed beak it looked like she started to get wattles (is that even the right word) at about 1 week and her comb started to turn red. However, today when I picked her up, the things I thought were wattles looked a little swollen more like nodules. Also, since about week one what I assume to be her crop has been hard. I've been giving her olive oil and massaging that. Now today when I had her upside down for this picture, her eye seemed watery but that might have been because I think she was hypnotized so I hesitate to say that that is a new symptom. I know when I stood her back up she woke up confused and when I had her upside down she was really out of it. Do you think she's just a very light weight chick with a funky beak or do you think more is going on than that?
