What is the cheapest wood to use for chicken coops?

I use the wood from old torn down fences.

Also windows you can get free at the replacement window companies. They usually stack the windows they take out by the dumpster for the taking.

I just spent $233 for ALL the materials i needed to build a 4'by8' coop. Its 8 feet high. I had some materials to start with, but not much. The window I had, and shingles. Thats about it.
