What is the Cost/ Value of Ameraucana and Rhode Island Hens

Had a dog attack back in October, took out my blrw hen and pure coro pair, all at 5 months old. I was so angry.

I get $25 for a layer here in the Seattle area and I am guessing it would be the same in CA. The other bird would depend on the quality and breeding lines. Very sorry for your loss.

Thank you all for your responses.

I purchased my chicks from the feed store that gets them from Privett Hatchery in New Mexico.
I don't breed or show my chickens, so all I care about is health and they have always been very healthy happy birds. When I bought them the teenage girl that worked there didn't know what was what and she said it was a Buff Orpington. Boy was I surprised when she looked like the Ameraucanas I have, with the exception that she was all white. I don't know for a fact that she wasn't an EE, but she looked like the photos on www.Ameraucana.org
I don't know if I have a good picture of her, I will look. Anyway I just don't know how much to tell my neighbor for replacement cost, but at the same time I am very angry and even money wont bring back Sunny Side Up, or Henrieta.

Henrieta was red with black tipped tail feathers. I figured that the ones with the white feathers were not true RIR.

Honestly, no body take this the wrong way, but I was very surprised that all of my flock turned out to be what I think is really good quality. I have since been back to that same feed store, they have laying age what they call RIR, but they have the white feathers and they have been debeeked which I do not like.

PS, somebody tell me how to add a photo to my post, please!

Thank you all again.

Hatcheries don't sell Ameraucana's at all so you didn't have a rare white Ameraucana...she was an Easter Egger for sure...still nice but not the same as a true Ameraucana and not worth the same amount of money.Definitely not worth paying high shipping to ship one that size
2 Hatchery stock pullets that age around here $10-$15 each.
