What is the deal with quail?

Quail taste much more like chicken (although not exactly) than like dove or duck and the meat is pretty light-colored.

Quail are cute, tend to be hardier and easier to hatch than chicks, and it's very entertaining to watch them pop right out of their eggs without warning. They are easier to keep, require less space, make less of a mess, less noise, etc... than meat chickens. Did I mention they are cute?

I think hatchoholics like them cause it's not as many days to wait is it 16 or 18 days? Anyway If I were to do quail that would be my reason...

Actually those look bigger than my little 'nickle sized' eggs. But they're for my DH's bento lunches.

And probably for the kids too since they really enjoy ''baby eggs''.
