Hello,

I have seen posts that refer to taking your eggs from the incubator out 3 days prior to hatch and put them into a hatcher. Could you tell me what a hatcher actually is?

thanks

As far as I know, mostly hatcheries use them, but they are like an incubator without a turner, just trays for the eggs to hatch on. On a small scale, you could have a second incubator, that you just use for the hatch, so you don't have to wait, before adding the next batch of eggs. It also keeps the main incubator cleaner. Hatches are a messy business...lol

I've also heard of people just turning off the egg turner in their incubator. Or... I just left it as in because I never thought about disconnecting it.
