What is the difference between bantams and regular chickens

I see in the hatchery choices. That they offer Bantams and large fowl and regular chicks. I have no idea what the difference is between and bantam and a regular hen. They look somewhat squatty, but other than that they don't look much different. Can anyone tell me exactly what the difference is?

The difference between a bantam and large fowl is size. Bantams are smaller than large fowl.
