So....I bought some hardware cloth for my duck run and just want to know what the difference is between that and welded wire. Also I am really worried about my wire rusting. The reviews were good. Lots of people used it for chicken runs so I thought why not? I included a link to the product. I also have already put it up so it is to late to return.

It does and it doesn't rust. I have mine partially buried at the bottom and when I redid a chicken coop, I pulled it up and it had rusted, but the cloth above ground (sides/top/etc.) did not.

So you are saying the one that was under ground rusted and the one on top of the grown did not? If that is what you are saying...yay!!!!! Mine is all around the run and not under ground.

So I am guessing hardware cloth and welded wire are the same just hardware cloth is in smaller squares. I think that is what I read. someone correct me on that if I am wrong.
The gauge could be different depending on what you buy, but yes it is all welded wire.
The hardware cloth will rust under ground. I believe the welded wire holds up a bit better, but I could be wrong. I know there is a lot of discussions regarding these materials on the run and coop forum here at byc.
