I'm leaning towards cockerel if its a delaware only because the hens don't have the same pattern. A crowing rooster can occur at any age but both sexes will sometimes depend on breed. Daylight hours can also contribute on whether maturity comes early or is delayed. Delawares generally come into egg production at 5-6 months of age but my delaware was as late as 9 months.
