What is the longest you've had to wait for a hen to lay?

Some of my RIRs layed at 17 weeks but the latest was 30 weeks.

Brahmas take a long time. Mine is 22 weeks and not even close! I have a RIR and EE at 22 weeks and no eggs! My SS is 20 weeks and no egg. Hopefully soon!

Not one of my Brahmas has laid at under 30 weeks....some as long as 40. With Brahmas patience is very much a virtue!

32 weeks. Really. Our chicks from last spring started laying in November and December. Go figure.

Mine are 22 weeks, and no eggs yet. I have one Black Australorpe, one Americauna, one Speckled Sussex, and one Dominique. I'm about to give up on eggs, lol.

I had two that I stopped counting at 35 weeks so I wouldn't get mad. They eventually laid me the most delicious blue eggs.
