Indonesia allows exports, the US simply doesn't allow exports ofnlive poultry or eggs from there. So someone outside of the US and Indonesia needs to act as an inbetween.

If I’m not mistaken I believe it represents their country and it’s a very prized and expensive breed. But I may be wrong.

I do too.

Also you're correct, it's because it's considered a very prized delicacy (rich peoplee food, like veal or suckling pig) to them. Again, similar to our bald eagle and how we can't export them.
