What is the Name of your Chicken?

This is Barredrock Obama ... because he's half black half white... also he's my one rooster leading the flock of 12.

i rarely name them. The Orloff rooster that MFB gifted me has been dubbed "Ice Cream Sunday".

Any hen with babies is called mama hen.

some are termed by their behavior or markings

The only ones I consistently call anything other than the Orloff rooster...

I have "little red hen"

" Bratt"

"Junoretta"

and when i refer to the whole flock I call them " Feathered Maniacs"

My first three chickens are Eggie (BR), Rocky(BR), Carmella (BO).

Then I started hatching.... First batch we added Riley and Harriet Cluckman (Both Marans... There were also 6 others who are no longer in the flock).

This years hatches: Hans Olo (Blue Sexlink) and Pigeon (Faverolle). Then we added Silkie (duh

) and Phoenix (BO/Marans). Then came Penguin (Black Sexlink), Emu (Wyandotte/Ameraucana), and Osprey (Wyandotte).

And finally we have Buffy (buff silkie), and a white silkie that I haven't come up with a name for. I'm considering Spike in keeping with the Buffy the Vampire Slayer theme

And I'm adding a flock of SQ BRs this fall so we'll have that many more to name next month!
