I've decided to start a diet and was wondering about the nutritional value of an egg? Like how many grams of protein, how many calories, etc? If it helps, my eggs are medium sized and are layed by buff orps and a barred rock.

DOESEN'T MATTER WHOM LAYS THE EGG OR THE COLOUR. the egg nutritional value remains the same. sie makes a differance but not much, so don't worry 'bout it. eggs average 50-60 calories each. ''the perfect food'' is right take one egg [50 cal] & one ounce cooked [boiled ] chicken [6o cal] mix in bladed food processer & cook in ur steamer. one slice buttered whole grain whole wheat toast [60 cal] ---breakfast--less than 200 cal. all the things u need protein fiber minerals ect. happy eating GBA

I left out that the cholesterol in eggs is not a problem because it helps the one that's supposed to be high stay high & the low number to stay low NOWHERE near as bad as pork sausage. GBA
