Cowgirl mine worked out to 14%, am boosting that up, mixed what I had with some turkey starter, so it should be about 16%.

In a couple of weeks I am going down to Spokane area and visiting a couple places that do custom grinding/mixing.

Our feed prices soared last week locally. Thankfully it has dropped back to $14.00 for 16% layer.

Checked the price of WalMart dogfood today. $0.33 per pound. Layer is $0.28 per pound. Will keep an eye on it. Also on the deer corn. WalMart will clearance it out soon.

Just looked at the Georgia "Farmers and Consumers Bulletin" and there wasn't much in the way of feed listed. Somebody has seed oats for $4.25 bushel, another ad has corn for $55 a "barrel". How much in weight does a 55 gallon barrel hold?

Seems like buying grain direct from the farmer should be a viable alternative to me.

I bought feed yesterday. I use Kent Feeds. 50 pound bags.
I use at least 50 pounds a day.

Does anyone have prices for Atwoods Farm and Ranch Stores? We have a new Atwoods opening soon.....not sure how soon, they are repairing the parking lot of an old Walmart. Then the interior has to be remodeled.
