do you have a rooster? (yes)
is she molting?
how old is she? (1.2 years)
what breed is that? (don't know)
I don't know about if its molting or not but want to make sure its not something serious
Plus she is lossing feathers past 4 months
That's fascinating--I had no idea a rooster could be so rough. Thought about Hen Saddles?Looks like classic over mating damage from a rooster.
Rooster damage, she looks like she's missing feathers on the back of her head also, where he grabs with his beak when mounting. She is either a serious favorite, or you don't have enough hens for your roo. How many hens do you have? How many roo's?
I would at least put a saddle on her to help protect her back. The feathers will likely not grow back until she molts. You can buy saddles here: www.hensaver.com
or you can make your own, pattern and instructions here: https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/free-chicken-apron-saddle-pattern.424354/#post-5201261
You can also trim the roo's spurs and claws which may help some.
