That's because you can't tie your kid to a tree for an afternoon if you have things to do

I have had yard sales of my own and attended hundreds. I've seen dogs trample items that are neatly laid out on a blanket, sniff clothing and knock over and break knickknacks with a beautiful wagging fluffy tail. Just because you love your dog doesn't mean that everyone does.
Leave your dog home!

No its because now discipline means sending your kids to there room to think about how to get away with it next time.....

And it does no good to send a kid to his room when he has his own computer, X-Box, games, toys, etc. It's like grounding a kid to Disneyland.

Discipline used to mean teaching your kids right from wrong. We bought a car the other day from a woman who I KNOW has never disciplined her child. I could tell because the child was berating the mother, telling the mother what to do, and the mother was minding the child instead of the other way around.

I wanted to slap them both.

I've been known to state that mine IS NOT FRIENDLY!!! That she is very UNPREDICTABLE! both when people let their dogs run free, or allow their young children to run over to pet the cute doggie. With SOME people she is very friendly, but with others she is as likely to attack. It is why I keep her on a short leash and under control. Enter OUR space and you have just violated both of us, and put yourself at risk.
