Me and my husband are planning on the farm we'll have in the yard, and I just really love ostriches. But we were wondering, what is the shortest breed of ostrich? it's for convenience of course

Ostrich are just Ostrich. I don't think there are any subspecies. @Cyprus is right, they need a lot of space. I would think at least an acre for a pair to be comfortable.

Actually there are different subspecies. You have the Red Necked Ostrich, Masai Ostrich, Southern Ostrich, Somali Ostrich, and the extinct Arabian Ostrich.

Are they all tasty? ;)

I had ostrich in the past and is was very tasty.... it was seriously a very memorable meat... had it grilled and in a stew.

I have. It's a red meat. In my opinion, better than beef. Ostrich meat is around 95% - 98% lean, lower cholesterol, lower in saturated fat, higher iron and it tastes like the best filet mignon you ever had!
