What is the standard check up time line for expecting mothers?

My oldest is 24 and my youngest 17; I also have 6 grandkids from my step kids. All these pregnancies have had roughly the same timeline for appointments as the OP questioned. What did change from one to the next to the next was the frequency of ultrasounds. None for my eldest (or any of my step kids); that OB only did ultrasounds if there was a concern based upon other monitoring and tests. With younger son it was 1 ultrasound at about 6 months. With my grandkids, they have all had several ultrasounds at varying points during the pregnancy.

my daughter has went every 3 weeks since she found out she was prego. but she has other problems to(cramping and spotting and a spot on her servix that they are watching)... I think 4 weeks is normal

That sounds like the standard plan. The longer you go between visits, the more of a chance for something to go undetected.

I was a hands-off minimum intervention until I had developed HELLP syndrome, had an abrupted placenta, and a stillbirth in about 24 hours. I went from normal to deathly ill in a matter of hours. And of course, my little girl died. I was 8 months along.

i am now rabidly anti-midwife and anti-homebirth. My midwife's hands-off attitude nearly killed me.

I am pregnant again, and have visits every two weeks, and an ultrasound every two weeks. Tests like you wouldn't believe. Take my blood pressure every day 2X. Soon I go to weekly visits and i am only 7 months.
Support you r co-worker and encourage her to take it easy. Don;t stress her out.

Great! It all sounds normal. I haven't said anything to them about how it seems like they are going a lot. Wanted to make sure it was normal before I said anything. No need to make them worry. Their parents are now trying to get visa's to visit to help her out around the due date, but it's always a pain to try and get the OK from the gov't. They are trying to get it so one set can come for 6 months, then the other for the 6 months after that. But it'll be tough since even though she can take time off to raise the baby, they are both grad students on student visas and not only cannot afford to not work. Another couple on student/work visas were having a tough time and even sent their 2 month old baby back home to live with parents for 8 months because parents could not get visas to come here. They are all excited though and it's funny to hear how everyone back home is knitting and hand crafting baby clothes even before they know the gender. They were talking about how embarrassing it will be to dress up their baby in hand made clothing that doesn't "fit in" but I've been telling them it would be cool and hand made things often go for premium prices here in the US.

Thanks everyone for all the knowledge!
