What is the strangest place your hens have laid an egg?

We had one little bantie/game mix hen that would hop through a hole in the screen door and go behind the console tv (tall legs) and lay her egg and then get up and look and around a little and jump right back out the way she came in. It was my little hen and this was at my granny's house. They weren't even that tame. She would do all this while we were all sitting there watching tv. I also had one that would get up in the motors of cars and lay her eggs . She got carried that way about 5 miles one day. From our house to my uncle's house. When we pulled up at my uncle's house and got out of the car. She decided to get out too!! And she was not very happy either!! I could never catch her again either so she ended up staying at her new home.

Reviving an old topic because I just can't resist sharing this!

Recently the hens started laying all over the carport, under lawn chairs, in and amongst the building materials on the porch, right next to the front door. The only one that really surprised me was by the front door because these hens have been handled very little and stay out of arm's reach of people.
But then this one just takes the cake. Inside the house in our bathroom remodel!

Ironically DH discovered this nest not long after I asked him "Hey do you think the chickens are going into the crawlspace? Maybe we should block it off." Of course he said "Nah!" until finding this.

I had an Australorp lay eggs inside a hanging feeder. The feeder was off the ground and the feed inside was low. I don't know how she got out.

I had one of my hens lay in my daughter's crib. I kept the window open so the cats could come and go when they wanted. I didn't know the chickens were coming and going as well.

My favorite is several of my hens decided that under the trucks hood was a good spot. I couldn't help but laugh when we found the nest of about 10 eggs. Thankfully the truck doesn't run

My White Leghorn banty laid an egg in our trashcan outside over the weekend. I really should've taken a picture of her! We just had some cardboard boxes in the trashcan to get rid of and she found them to be quite comfy apparently!
