What is the strangest thing your chickens ate? Mine just ate crawfish Monica and aligator tail

Had a RIRed pullet eat a long strand of red plastic baling twine once, about a foot of it hanging out of its mouth. It was easy to butcher, hold down on stump, pull string, chop head. Wasn't very big but I new it couldn't pass that much twine!

Fish EYEBALLS! My son went spear fishing this morning and while cleaning the fish somehow the eye for to the bottom of our front steps

Baby rabbits and a couple of Whitefish. Mind you in the winter my Nana would hang rabbits about 2feet off the floor in the coop. Extra protein and exercise. Wheat fattened chickens don't lay well. My Pampa would also throw the odd fish in the pen in the warmer months too. No problems at their house with odd tasting or tainted eggs so I guess my family and I will survive this.

wow, I have a pet rabbit that hops around the flock and they do nothing to her (grew up with her as babies) good to know if Lucy (bunny) has babies I know to keep them from her.
