What is the strangest thing your chickens ate? Mine just ate crawfish Monica and aligator tail

My cat had one sticking out of his butt... I thought it was a worm, grabbed it with a napkin and pulled... OMG never heard a cat whail like that. It came out no problem though.

AAAWWWW...poor kitty!!

I recently butchered 4 roosters, I didn't even think to look in their gizzard!  darn!  It would have been interesting to see what was in there.  I'll get to look when I butcher this next group of cockerels in a few months.

I flour and fry the gizzards hearts and livers, the wife and kids wont eat them. The gizzards are tough, but anything is good with a few beers!
I saved and froze the necks and am going to make some chinese chicken neck egg drop soup this winter. I'll probably be the only one eating that too.
I love liverwurst and have tried to make it with deer liver, not so good.
A guy at work gave me a recipee for it using deer liver, deer heart, and chicken livers, and smoking it. EXCELENT!! The chicken liver helped a lot and smoking it (after it was cooked) lent a entirely new element to the flavor, very good.

My soon to be son-in-law just gave me a garbage bag of pumpkin guts from the giant pumpkin he was carving for their party. It's waiting overnight in the car because I got home after dark and the girls were already in bed. Should be fun to see them go to town on it in the morning.

Mine love pasta, rice, cheese, especially! Yohgurt, eggs, watermelon, sardines, salmon, well all fish, any meat leftovers, grapes, berries, corn, vegemite or peanut butter sandwiches!! Any bug or spider, very happy if they find a centipede, good!.. Favourite thing is mealworms and crickets. Also they seem to go crazy for wild bird seed!

My partner was out in the yard mincing up fish/squid/and mullet gut for berly and my australopes came running and at it like theres no tomorrow.....it was very wrong hahaha

First time I gave mine a half-melon, I made the mistake of serving it on a paper plate. After the melon including the skin was eaten, they shredded the plate and began the great food run with a long strip of it. It's the only food run I have ever had to participate in….my pullets had more fun then me. I'm sure they didn't expect me to get on my hands and knees and come under the run to win the coveted paper. I didn't think it was too funny at the time, but my DH and my 6 chickens thought it was hilarious. So did I after a bath and clean clothes change.

Frogs. Lol there always a few under the horse trough when I do a dump and scrub so I'll throw them in there direction. The first time they ate it they were scared of it hopping around till my ballsy rooster pecked it and then started cluckig like crazy and they all went at it.

Has anyone noticed that when they eat salmon or other fish you can taste a slight sea food taste in ther eggs? I spoiled them one day with salmon and the next couple days there eggs tasted a little salmony. It was also raw salmon so maybe that had something to do with it
