But remember the chickens don't care what it looks like. I am using an old dog house right now and they are happy.

My girls like to lay where another egg is. I keep a plastic easter egg in rotation in my nest boxes to keep the girls using them all. My girls only hang out in the nest box when they are laying an egg. They spent the rest of the day scratch'n in the yard.

I have 4 hens and 1 roo, 3 of the hens insist in laying in the same place! outside the nesting boxes!
