Is the vent plug the plugs that are at the top of my little giant bator? How do I keep the humidity up if I do that?
I was planning on putting moist sponges in the bater along with filling the pan

Yes, those are the vent plugs. You usually take one out during the first 18 days, and then both out for the rest of the hatch, but you'll have to add lots of water to your troughs to keep the humidity up, but they need oxygen.

I honestly don't know where the vent plugs are on a little giant...if you have instructions with it read carefuly to find them...I always thought they are farther down on a bator like the sides...I have air holes with mine on the lower sides but no plugs...or red caps.....I do know you open the plugs when the chicks start to hatch to help with air flow...I always add wet sponges on day 18 to help with humidity...

Maybe someone will chime in with more help on where they are located...
