What is the wierdest thing your birds ate/passed?

One of my stupid hens started eating about a 2 foot length of 1/4" rope. She got about half of it down and was walking around with the rest hanging out of her beak. DH put his EMT training to work; we lubed her gullet with olive oil and s-l-o-w-l-y pulled on the end of the rope. Got it all out, and she was none the worse for the experience, but I'm careful not to leave rope lying about any more.
We didn't want to have to watch her try to excrete it from the other end!

I saw one of my guineas today trying to eat a piece of insulation, and some young cochins I have try to eat anything 'white'

Ours hollowed out a small nerf football the last homeowner left under the deck. We found the "rind" at the end of last summer....followed by a DOH! They all survived

My Red seems to be fine. She was outside all day yesterday with the flock running around, scratching the the newly thawed mud that I call my lawn.

Still just makes me shake my head. Hubby runs a garage here, so they are around all the stuff all the time. At least I got him to start using the antifreeze thats safe for animals. When they were born, I made him switch.

shards of glass...must've found it somewhere on the property. It actually made a clinking sound when it hit the ground! lol Didn't even seem to phase her!!!

I got the idea to use those disposable catboxes that are mafe of cardboard paper material for a dust bathe for the gang when they were smaller. Well I discovered them eating it after the novelty of the dust bath wore off.

lol--no blood! I was shocked when I heard/saw it! I couldn't believe she ate it, it passed through her crop, stomach, and out her little hiney with NO blood!!!
