What is the Youngest that a chick can be dusted?

    I have some chicks that are about 4 weeks old. Are they too young to dust for bugs? Cuz they need to be....

    If they were being raised by a chicken they'd be out in the dirt from day one, so, yeah, they should enjoy any dirt bath available. :)

    Are they outside? They shouldn't have bugs already.

    Yes, they are outside, but in a hutch. They had a mama hen for a while. They have bugs. I don't mean dirt dust, I mean Sevin dust. The Sevin container doesn't say anything about ages they can be dusted, so that's what I need to know.

    DK b/c I use DE. If it's bad for bees I'm not comfortable having it around my girls.
