ok gang, 6 1/2 weeks ago I picked out a chick with “angel wings “ as I called them, just because it was different from any of the others- now I have a puff-ball! :love What breed is it & can you tell gender? I thought frizzle Cochin, but it’s beak is different (sharper) than my others and it has an extra toe on one foot- (I’m guessing since only on one foot it’s a polydactyl mutation & not breed specific, but here is a pic anyway)
Any info is appreciated & forgive the dirty feathers, they had fun today :p

I’m going to ask the same question- I know these are Silkies but what is the gender? They’re about 3 months

You have a White Frizzle Cochin Bantam pullet with an overgrown beak. The extra toe on 1 foot and 4 on the other happens on occasion, but it usually shows up when crossing a 5 toed breed to a 4 toed breed. I have a Silkie x Easter Egger pullet with 9 toes total.

Forgive the ignorance, but do I need to do anything special with her beak? She seems to eat & drink fine.... i love her extra toes :D
