What is this black and white chicken and this buff chicken?

I have wondered what these chickens are since I've bought them. But I never thought of it as a big deal. I have a picture where they are older but for some reason cannot retrieve it in my email. I took it on my phone. But since the Death of the black one, thanks to an Opossum, the buff one has been devastated and I thought that chicken was the friendliest ever and am interested in getting some more like him.

could be wrong but id say the buff one is a buff orpington, and the black one could be a barred rock or black sex link. I think they have some white on them...

The black one is a barred rock, and the white is buff orp

i dont thinkit has enough white to be barred rock, i bet ya it was a black sex link roo...they are marked like that...

And the buff one is more likely to be a buff rock. It is not a BO as it has yellow legs.

Not sure on the buff, but the barred one is a rock pullet. The buff looks to not have a single comb.

It's not a buff orp or a buff rock. It has a rose comb. It is most likely a buff wyandotte. Pretty!

Sorry you lost the other. Hopefully you can find a playmate for your pretty girl.

I have a Barred Rock hen just like her and I love mine. Her name is Henny Penny and she's a sweetheart. I would definitely tell you to get another one!

Your Buff looks like a Buff Wyandotte because of the comb. At first I thought it was Buff Orpington but then I saw the comb.
