Hey friends. Our Cayuga girl was limping today, and when we picked her up, we found this. Af first I thought it was bumble foot. But after reading, I'm really not sure. Praying that it is nothing! She acts fine. PRAISE THE LORD!!! The bump is warm to the touch. And soft...
The bigger one is on top and bottom. The smaller on the other foot is only on the bottom. Thank you in advance!

can you get a photo of the under side of her foot? Is there a scrab? Can you see any kind of injury?
What is she kept on?

It looks very much like the bumble my Runner had a few years ago, no scab or redness just a bump that showed up and it was hard so walking was painful. I'd never had a bumble present itself like this one so off to the vet we went, she diagnosed it as bumble put her on antibiotic and Meloxicam for 14 days after day 7 still looked the same to me so I took a scalpel and made a small slit and popped it out. Put antibiotic ointment on it wrapped and finished out the meds. She healed fine. This is what Pearls looked like.

Looks like bumble foot. You'll have to get it surgically removed or you can try it at home, but that can be risky. You can try to help ease pain and help it bot swell by giving a Epsom Salt soak without no additives. Use the plain salts

The last picture is an attempt at the underside of her footsie. There didn’t look like there was a scab, and I really didn’t see any injury.
They walk on hay in their pen...

Yes, that is very much what it looks like!! Much larger than what I was thinking. The no redness or scab was throwing me off too! The only difference though is hers doesn’t really feel hard. Was the hardness the whole bump, or like a piece of stuff and swelling around it forming the whole bump?

Okay!! I have no idea how to do it, but I also know that the vets are kind here are funny about the animals they deal with, and it could get quite pricy... I’m happy to know that other people have done it at home before, Praise The Lord!!
After she has the bumble removed, can I still soak the slightly open “wound” in the Epsom salts?

The whole bump was hard and when I popped it out it hit me in the neck and hit the patio where I guess one of my dogs got it :sick I never even got to see what it looked like.
