Bump

My ducks soft pad on bottom of her foot was dry and flat about a week ago she was not allowed to roam with the other ducks now she has a bump on top and bottom of foot. There is no scab like with bumblefoot, it is warm to the touch. I don't know what to do. Should I lance it and get the infection out or should I just try and drain it?

Sounds similar to when my Runner had her bumble This is what Pearls looked like and since I had never had a duck with bumble only my chickens and always with a scab I could get off and get the bumble out, I took Pearl to the vet she was put on an antibiotic and meloxicam and after 7 days the bumble looked no different so I took a scalpel my dh held her and I made a small slit on the bottom and popped the bumble out no pus just hard, I packed the opening and wrapped her foot put a boot on her kept her out of water till it healed which was about 4 days. I also finished up her last 7 days of antibiotic too.

I'm not saying take her to a vet If I had known this was bumble I wouldn't have either.
