What is this chick breed??

Wow thank you all for the responses!

I wanted to mention that they had a sign for olive eggers in the same bin as the golden laced wyandottes. There were also Cornish rocks in that bin. The ISA browns and barred rocks were in another bin. I wanted an olive egger, and when I saw this chick when we got home I though I got lucky but it doesn’t make sense since the associate would have only pulled two chicks (the wyandottes) from that one bin.

Anyhow, I know we’ll probably have to wait a few weeks to know for sure but it’s always exciting to try to know early! 😊

Oh
Yes, it has both ear muffs and a beard.

@Kchoquette, looks almost like a GLW x EE… I have a Golden Laced Wyandotte X Easter Egger chick..

He’s there all the way on the left.

Again, on the left, when he was younger.
Oh wow! The wings on mine reminded me a little of a golden laced wyandotte. I’m not an expert by any means, this is my first year having chickens but I had some GLWs with my first round in the spring. It’s the head and muffs that threw me off though!

If there were Olive Eggers labeled in the bin, it’s almost definitely an OE.

It makes sense if the person made a mistake and pulled a third chick from that bin.

Or it makes sense if the chick was in the wrong bin (which could be a person's fault, or the chick might have been able to jump high enough to change bins on its own.)

If they had a sign for Olive Eggers, and the chick has an appearance that could be right for an Olive Egger, then it might be one! I suppose you'll know in about 4-6 months, assuming it's a female.

That’s what I was thinking! Maybe it got placed in the wrong bin or maybe it jumped bins. I originally asked for olive eggers but she said she wasn’t sure there were any left (there we some dark ones and some light ones, but only about 10 left in the bin). Maybe she realized there was one and put it in there for me. I was busy with my kids so maybe she didn’t mention it. I would be happy if it was an olive egger or Easter egger, or even if it’s a mix, I’ll love him/her all the same 🥰
