got out of the cages and is it a leghorn or rhode island red

Leghorn.

Reds are a solid orange color as a chick, then feather out a reddish orange color as they grow up. (although good quality ones are a deep blood red)

I had chicks the same at this. some people called it a turken. some called it a bantam or a bandie. you decide when it gets older!

if you are positive it is one of those two breeds then I would go with Leghorn. However, if you are not real sure, I would go with an Ameraucana or EE. All of my EEs had those same spectale lines going back and down from the eye, just like your chick here.

Well, that is no way an RIR. But if you suspect a leghorn I'll say it's that. But if you're not sure, that looks just like an EE to me.
