Wow that's a lot. My gal only sat on 14, she is a Golden Lacewing Wyandotte. :( Good luck to her and you, it's a lot of fun hatching eggs. I learned a lot about candling, embryo development, etc kids and I loved it.

It is a lot considering she's a Japanese bantam who, last time I checked, had 5 eggs under her. We got her along with our BO's, LH, RIR and CM'S this February. I have seen my favorite Orp "visiting" her on the nest a few times. I guess she's been making deposits :D. They are very young and their eggs are small. Ang is our first broody ever so I have no experience. We do have a rooster and they have mated but given their age and egg size what is the likelihood of them hatching? And, IMHO, 14 eggs is nothing to scoff at :). How'd the hatch go? I'll bet the kids were thrilled! What a wonderful educational experience for all of you!
