What is this chicken thinking?

I was photographing a huge spider just across from these two. They came over to watch me take 50 or so photographs. Oddly, they didn't make a sound. And I'm like what are those two up to? [COLOR=008000]What is she up to? She is usually pointing that thing clicky thing in our direction.[/COLOR] I also photographed this: [COLOR=008000]Should I stay or should I go? Maybe I should go (as chicken beak gets close)[/COLOR] [COLOR=008000]Chickens think: Mmm... extra crunchy chicken treat[/COLOR]

It is a Cicada.

last week there was a spider in a tree outside my apartment and it was almost 6'' long (it had two toned legs like this one)
