This is Sage the best dog EVER! She actually is a retired hunting dog. This is how her day goes. She either eats in piece or I let the ladies out and then feed her. She always looks at me with pathetic eyes.
" mom get these things away PLEASE!" The cats are just as involved ! I need a picture of them though.

...so the dare is to eat the jacked-up chili food... or that poop-looking stuff in the other bowl... I know, it's a hard choice...

It's funny you say that cause she could. However she wouldn't ! During her years of retrieving she never once bit into a bird. She was just thrilled to pleAse her dad!! We spent 12 months 1 hour a day with a wing and fishing pole every day. The other funny thing now that she's older. I buy her toys and she destroys them but if it's a stuffed bird she never rips it apart! She knows she will get in trouble. That's just a stuffed animal.
Yes, our neighbors dog hopped our fence and took out 4 hens In 8 minutes. One being my favorite and top broody and top of pecking order. I was devistated! She protects them while they are out. I just happened to bring her in for a bone. Now I think back if she would have been out there that pit bull would have hurt her bad! It was a young dog doing it for fun. Then the wonderful neighbors yelled some real nice stuff over the fence. In front of my kids. Ugh! Sage is the best! Couldn't ever replace her. She even lets the baby chicks walk all over her while she is relaxing.
