They waited until I opened the door to the coop and ran off to this rabbit hutch to lay their eggs! This rabbit hutch is huge, I have to climb inside to get their eggs, of course they lay in the back corner

So now we have to make a door in the back of the rabbit hutch. This was first day our leghorn laid so I wasn't complaining too much

make your nest boxes similar to the ones on the hutch. they evidently feel safe in there.

They have a few nesting boxes, we have a top shelf for the chickens to perch on and sleep on, we are going to line the bottom with nesting boxes for them. at the moment we only have 2. They made their own nest there so we put one the the nesting boxes on top of the nest.
