My avatar is a piece that I carved for a cemetery. It was placed under a bench, the memorial to a young man who loved gargoyles. His parents commissioned it.

I do have a somewhat similar piece underway in my shop.

That is so sad but a wonderful tribute to the young man that loved gargoyles...they fascinate me...your carving is an amazing talent that I do so admire...an artisan as the French would say...!

When you next travel to Italy can you divert a little way west????? France is not so far away...and a gargoyle here similar to the one in your Avatar would be loved and look so amazing....!

I have looked at gargoyles for years on Cathedrals in the UK...incredible to behold the sight of them!
