It could be... It says on the box not for human consumption, but I think that is just so they don't have to comply with needlessly expensive FDA requirements. I'm sure if we ordered the "for human consumption" type they would be much more expensive and certified organic.... Forget it, they are probably priced per worm. Allie would have to start laying golden eggs.
