What is this duckie behavior!?

What is this Duck behavior? I observe it often from my two Pekins and have always wondered what it was. I thought of it as a “Duck hug” but I would like other more experienced Duck parents to confirm.

Yep, that's what it looks like to me.

Mine sometimes tail wag when they are pleased with themselves (whether we liked it or not).

I get the behaviour from the second clip if I offer my hand and there's no food (they want) in it.

My ducks are not shy on sharing their feelings!

Ok, so are you saying it is both dominance and wanting food that is not present?

Maybe they’re receiving assertiveness training and proud of themselves that they asserted their independence from mom/dad
